Update from Auto-Owners Insurance


Due to a reduction in travel across the nation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be providing a 15% premium refund to our personal automobile policyholders for the months of April and May.

Update from The Cincinnati Insurance Companies


Cincinnati Insurance and Cincinnati Casualty personal lines auto policyholders will receive a 15% credit per policy on your April and May premiums – pending regulatory approval. No action is required on your part to receive this discount.

Update from safeco insurance


Safeco's Personal Auto Customer Relief Refund will give customers a 15% refund on two months of auto premiums. We are committed to the well-being of our customers, especially in times of uncertainty.

Personal Auto Insurance customers will automatically receive a 15% credit on April and May auto premiums, expanding our COVID-19 relief efforts.

Update from West Bend mutual insurance company


In response to all that’s going on around us, we’re happy to announce we’ll be sending a one-time payment of $50 to Home and Highway policyholders who insured their vehicles with us as of March 11, 2020, the date the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic. We hope these additional dollars provide some help as we move forward in these uncertain times. We’re currently consulting with insurance regulators to gain approval for our plan and finalizing how to deliver the payments as quickly as possible. More details will follow in the coming days.

Update from selective insurance


Pending regulatory approval, customers with an inforce personal and/or business auto policy as of April 30, 2020 and May 31, 2020, will have a credit of 15% of their monthly premium for April and May applied to their account.

Update from Hastings Mutual Insurance Company

After consideration of the impact on our agent partners, our customers, and our business, Hastings Mutual plans to return 15% of the combined March and April 2020 auto premiums to our eligible Personal Auto customers, pending regulatory approval.

Update from Progressive insurance


All active personal auto customers will be automatically credited 20% of their April and May premiums. There’s nothing you need to do. We’ll calculate your credit at the end of each month, and you’ll see it reflected in your account within a few weeks. Learn more about what we’re doing to help our customers here.

Update from nationwide


Many people are experiencing hardship due to the efforts to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. That emerging trend is prompting Nationwide to offer a one-time premium refund of $50 per policy for personal auto policies active as of March 31, 2020. The refund will arrive in the next 30 days, subject to individual state regulatory approval. It will be returned to customers in the last form of payment they have made, whether electronic or paper.

Update from WesField Insurance

Westfield Personal Auto customers will receive a 15 percent credit of their eligible monthly auto premium* for the months of April, May, and June 2020. Customers with an active Personal Auto policy as of April 30, 2020, will receive the full credit to their bill in the month of May 2020. We’ll take care of the paperwork; agents and customers won’t have to do a thing.

Update from ACUITY Insurance


In response to decreased driving, we are discounting our personal auto rates for our customers. Customers will receive a discount on average of $50-$100 for two cars. This reduced-driving discount will be automatically applied to policies for both existing and new customers, pending regulatory approval.

As you are probably aware, some companies have recently come forward with a short-term plan to ease the pain caused by COVID-19. We believe that there can be no short-term solutions to long-term problems and that the magnitude of the current crisis is yet to be realized. At this time, we are not offering any sort of a refund or discount to our policyholders due to COVID-19.

Our approach to helping our mutual customers save on their Personal Auto insurance includes offering a one-time 5% discount for the entire next policy term for every State Auto customer with a Connect or Legacy personal auto policy in force as of June 1, 2020.

Upon renewal, clients will receive a credit reflecting a 35% premium reduction for the months of April and May, with additional discounts for subsequent months, as the situation warrants.
